Two pieces, one moon-pale white.
Chaand means moon, and the set is a pale, buttery white with the warmth of a ghee lamp at dusk. At a shade this faint, two dye lots would give you two different whites. This set has one, because the kurta and pants were dyed together in a single vat on a single day.
The weave is half linen, half cotton, nothing else. It falls soft and stays cool when the room isn't. There's a low lustre to it, and it finishes the day less wrinkled than pure linen would.
Fit & feel
The kurta wears relaxed and falls straight. An elastic waist holds the pants. Everything softens with washing. Cold wash, shade dry. The set costs $10 less than buying both pieces on their own.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
