Chai brown, almost no weight.
A kurta dyed the brown of well-brewed chai, warm enough to settle a room before you've said good morning. One chest pocket is the only ornament on it; the rest is loose cloth falling straight.
It's sheer and very light, closer to silk than to any t-shirt cotton you've owned. That's what happens when cotton is spun so fine that Lucknow's finest embroiderers hold it back for their best work. Layer it when you want cover; wear it alone when you don't.
Fit & feel
Swiss voile, 100% cotton. Relaxed kurta cut with one chest pocket and a straight fall. Softens with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
