One pink, out of one bath.
Deep fuchsia pink, head to toe: the set for kirtan mornings (kirtan is devotional singing) and festival days. A pink this bold has to agree with itself, and it does, because the kurta and pants shared one vat on one day. You arrive in one clear color and let the class do the rest.
The cloth hardly touches you, which matters when you're demonstrating for ninety minutes in a warm room. It's cotton spun so fine that Lucknow's finest embroiderers hold it back for their best work. It's honestly sheer. Over bare skin it works for practice; over a slip it works everywhere else.
Fit & feel
The kurta is cut relaxed and falls straight. The pants have an elastic waist. The cloth is Swiss voile, and both pieces soften with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry. The set price saves you $10 against separates.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
