The color of the sky in the half hour after sunset, when the last class has emptied out and the room finally goes still. Most of our shades come from the ground. This one comes from up there.
The cotton is spun so fine that Lucknow's finest embroiderers keep it for their best work, which is why it breathes like this and falls the way silk falls. There's a hint of transparency to it. Wear it as-is for practice, or over a slip when you want more cover.
Fit & feel
Swiss voile, 100% cotton. Relaxed, unstructured kurta cut with a straight fall. Softens with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
