Pale rose into dusk pink, once.

Anahata is the Sanskrit name for the heart center, and these pants shade from pale rose into deep dusk pink, one color opening into the next. Wear them for the heart-opening class, the one where you ask the room to soften and have to go first.

The cotton is spun so fine that Lucknow's master embroiderers save it for their best work. Every pair comes out of the dye vat with its own version of the fade. No two are alike, and once this dye lot closes, that version won't be made again.

    Fit & feel

Sculptural pleats with an angled drape that moves ahead of you. The cotton is light and just sheer enough to show it. An elastic waist moves with the pleats. As at home in practice as in the quiet after. Softens with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry.

Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.

Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.

Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.

At the heart of our Dharma is Aparigraha, non-excess. Making each garment to order is how we practice it. Nothing is overproduced. Nothing waits in storage. Thank you for practicing it with us.

Every piece funds five meals at the Ganeshpuri girls' program. Sevā means service.

    Testimonials

I absolutely love it. Wore the full set to my meditation retreat and felt so serene. It’s light, elegant, and I got so many compliments.

This is hands down the most comfortable piece of clothing I own. The ombre dye is stunning.
