Moon-colored, weightless.
Chaand means moon, and this is the pale gold of an early moonrise, the sky you walk out into when your evening class ends. The dhoti cut, the draped trouser India has worn for centuries, falls straight and easy whether you're teaching or going nowhere.
Half linen, half cotton, nothing else. It has a soft glow rather than a shine, and it comes out of a suitcase in better shape than pure linen would.
Fit & feel
Pleats fall straight down the leg and move when you do. A subtle back elastic keeps the waist quiet. The cut is the same for every body; men and women wear the identical pant. Fit for practice and for evenings that don't need a plan. Softens with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
At the heart of our Dharma is Aparigraha, non-excess. Making each garment to order is how we practice it. Nothing is overproduced. Nothing waits in storage. Thank you for practicing it with us.
