One dawn, two garments.
Gold deepening into saffron, the way the sky goes just before the sun clears the horizon, across the whole outfit at once. The kurta and pants took the gradient together, in one vat, on one day, so they deepen in step. You put it on and it already agrees with itself.
That gradient formed once, in that vat, and no later batch will repeat it; the set you receive matches itself and nothing else we've made. The cloth under the color is cotton spun so fine that Lucknow's finest embroiderers save it for their best work. It is sheer, and in sun you'll see light through it. A slip underneath gives full cover.
Fit & feel
The kurta is cut relaxed and falls straight. The pants have an elastic waist. The cloth is Swiss voile, and both pieces soften with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry. The set is $10 less than the pieces bought separately.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
