The one you'll wear most.
Tulsi is the holy basil kept by the door of most Indian homes, ordinary and sacred at once. This pale beige is the quietest color we make, the kurta you put on without deciding to. It sits easily beside everything else you own.
Half linen, half cotton, nothing else. It's soft on skin and moves when you do, with a low sheen that stays calm under studio light. It wrinkles less than pure linen, so it comes out of your bag ready to teach.
Fit & feel
50-50 linen-cotton. Relaxed kurta cut with a straight fall. Softens with every wash. Cold wash, shade dry.
Fine Swiss voile cotton or a 50-50 linen-cotton weave, depending on the piece. All natural fibre, light enough to move with the air. It softens with every wash.
Hand-dyed with natural dyes in small batches. Shades vary a little from lot to lot. We think that's the point.
Three people make everything we sell. Two stitch by hand. One runs the dye vats. We don't hold a warehouse: your piece is cut, stitched, and finished after you order it, and reaches you in about four weeks.
At the heart of our Dharma is Aparigraha, non-excess. Making each garment to order is how we practice it. Nothing is overproduced. Nothing waits in storage. Thank you for practicing it with us.
